Information for new citizens
Welcome to Erdmannhausen!
To facilitate your start in Erdmannhausen, we provide the most important information for you here to help you with the formalities necessary. You can get further advice and information at the city hall located in the Pflasterstrasse 15, 71729 Erdmannhausen or just call us: +49 (0)7144 / 308-0.
Please pay attention to the following information:
- registration of your residence
Our colleagues in the citizens’ office (located at the first floor in the city hall) would like to help you in case you have any questions. Don’t forget that there is the legal duty of officially registering yourself and that you need to care for these formalities within one week after your removal. On this occasion, you can also care for the changes in residence in your documents, e.g. the changes of your address in your identity card and / or passport.

- registration of your child in kindergarten
- order Erdmannhausen’s official journal “Amtsblatt” (phone: +49 (0) 7033 / 525 - 0)
- order waste containers (phone: +49 (0) 7141 / 144 - 5656)
- registration of your dog (phone: +49 (0)7144 308 330)
Further important information
waste management:
waste containers and garbage collection (appointments)
- household garbage (grey bin) and organic waste (brown bin) = weekly in turns
- recyclable material (green bin, Green Dot) = once a month
- bulk garbage and scrap = collection twice a year on demand (send a card for bulk garbage)
The pre-printed form to order your bins can be picked up at the citizens’ office at the city hall or on the website of the AVL (go to "Tonneninfos" / "Umzugsmeldung pdf").
You can find further information and all appointments in the “Abfallkalender“ that you can pick up at the citizens’ office. The appointments for the garbage collection are printed weekly in our “Amtsblatt”, i.e. Erdmannhausen’s official journal.
